The busiest part of Primary market also added more choices
More homes for sale did not slow prices or sales in 55811. That is the one fact that changes what a homeowner here should know right now.
These numbers cover the three months ending July 31, 2026. All local counts come from the Real Estate Data Aggregator.
More listings, and prices still rose
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 182 new listings in ZIP 55811 in that period. That is up 52.9% from the same three months in 2025. Realtor.com reported active listings nationwide were up 6.3% over the same stretch. So 55811 added choices at more than eight times the national pace. Even so, the Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median sale price at $420,000, up 13.8% year over year. More competition did not push prices down.
Homes still moved fast
The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median days on market in 55811 at 14 days. That is 23 days shorter than the same period a year ago. Nearly half of all homes, 48%, went under contract within two weeks of listing. That share rose 23.4 points year over year. Buyers had more options, but well-priced homes did not sit long.
Sellers still got their asking price, and then some
The Real Estate Data Aggregator shows the average sale price in 55811 came in at 100.6% of list price. That is down 2 points from a year ago, a small dip worth noting. Still, 41.6% of homes sold above list price. That share did fall 16.3 points year over year, so bidding wars are a little less common. But homes selling over asking is still a real part of this market.
What about mortgage rates right now?
Rates are not helping buyers. Freddie Mac put the average 30-year fixed rate at 7.28% as of October 1, 2026. The 15-year rate averaged 6.60% the same week. Realtor.com reported that mortgage rates crossed 7% in late September for the first time since January 2025. That backdrop makes the local price growth in 55811 even more notable.
How does the national picture compare?
The National Association of Realtors reported that months of supply nationwide hit 4.9 months, the highest in over ten years. In 55811, the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted just 2.4 months of supply. This market is tighter than the country as a whole, even after inventory rose sharply here. The Federal Housing Finance Agency reported U.S. house prices rose 2.1% year over year through the second quarter of 2026. The 13.8% price gain in 55811 is well above that national pace.
Pending sales point to continued activity
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 125 pending sales in 55811 for the period. That is up 5.9% from a year ago. More homes came to market, more sold, and the pipeline stayed full. Not every number moved in one direction, but the overall picture in 55811 held up.
